Reports to: Account Manager
VTC Tech is looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Account Manager Intern to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who is looking to develop skills in client relationship management, upselling, and business strategy.
This position assists the Account Manager to act as a bridge between clients, projects, sales, and service teams to ensure client satisfaction and business growth.
Primary Responsibilities
· Help build and maintain strong client relationships with a client-centric approach
· Assist in the delivery of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and present key metrics in an understandable way to C-level executives
· Assist in identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
· Develop strong negotiation skills to engage clients effectively without being overly pushy
· Discuss cost-benefit analyses and ROI on proposed quotes with clients
· Take detailed notes during meetings, track key takeaways, and ensure action items are completed
· Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to facilitate communication and collaboration
· Anticipate potential service issues and proactively propose solutions
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
· General technical proficiency with Windows computers and common business software.
· Clear verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong follow-up and task management skills.
· Client-focused mindset with an ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
· Empathy and active listening to understand client concerns and pain points.
· Ability to take initiative and lead conversations when necessary.
· Strong collaboration skills, as the role requires working across multiple departments.
· Strong self-management and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
· Strong understanding of Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and revenue impact and potential leakage
· Experience or knowledge in upselling and cross-selling strategies.
· Ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives.
Work Environment & Expectations
· Primarily remote, with some aspects of hybrid with occasional travel for in-person client meetings (less than 15% of the year).
· Entry-level/minimal experience required, with a strong emphasis on people skills.
